Aditeya Goyal - 14- Outdoor Fun
23
- INDIA , Outdoor Fun is the need of an hour. Every family member is required to adopt healthy lifestyle.
- INDIA , My art is of a child with colors coming out of their hands, (which refers too the talent they have that they use) ,and also covering their head, which refers to the fact that all these magical elements exists within them. The colors are all being their wonderful chaotic self within a circle, (the circle signifies self) which is releasing stars in the dark abyss they exist in, meaning how they share the beauty they have to the world.
- USA, I believe that kids in America dream of having a land made of candy. I've grown up with animations and fairy tales where there are lands made of candy. This inspired me to do my art. A candy land themed painting is an image I've been wanting to draw for a while, because I think dreaming of the impossible is important.
- SRI LANKA , I wish to see my country with full of happy people. Farmers doing organic cultivation , children studying their favorite subjects, kids playing in big amusement parks , scientists doing experiments to explore new things and astronauts place my county flag on space. So I ask everyone's help to get these dreams come through.
ALANKARAGE ALOKA NIPUNA KUMARA WIJESINGHE - 15- What the children of my country want and their dream.
35
- SRI LANKA , What is essential for the children of my country is to create a self-sufficient country without any racial discrimination by educating the poor and the children equally. Therefore, together is to create a self-sufficient country as well as an obedient country. That's what I guess from my drawing.
P.M. Yohani Mandina Paliskara - 5- What kids in my country really need? They need happiness and they need need nature.
13
- SRI LANKA , What kids my country really need. Actually my country's children need the happieness. They want to play, they always will. And also they want the nature, animals, birds. So Children in my country need to practice planting. We need to teach to protect the beauty of nature. We need to protect wildlife. The children of my country want a life where they can play happily with their friends and not be limited to education.
- GHANA, The human self is very important to our existence, and no less can be said about the head. Several parts of the body are on the head which place an important in our respiratory system, such as the mouth and the nose. With the advent of the deadly corona virus which killed over one million poeple around the world caused us to protect ourselves against the virus by wearing nose masks.
- HUNGARY , It is very difficult now that you have to learn a lot and wear a mask because of the covid. I think kids in my country really need their mom to always hug them. I always ask my mom to hug me. Being in her arms is the best place ever.
Mara Felicity Tejada - 10- Food: 1 Scoop of Love, I Glass of Protection, 1 Teaspoon of Respect and 1 Plate of Recognition"
13
- PHILIPPINES , Philippines belong to what we called 3RD WORLD COUNTRY, where the poorest of the poor mostly can be found. In my young mind, I have raised and taught on the value of every single drop of rice and even a single drop of water is the same as the value of a meal each day. In our house, we were instructed to always finish and be accountable for our actions especially if we are in front of our meal. In my country, one of the problems is Malnutrition, due to some lack of food to eat due to poverty.
Remmy Franklyn - 9- Parents love is always important
212
- SWEDEN , No matter the skin colour and where we children come from. Parents love is always important. Parents need to know that we need to play with them, spend good time but not every time daycare and school because they work everyday. I feel happy and loved from mamma and pappa. All children need that love from their parents too.
- INDIA , My work is a constant search for the best way to interpret the ideas I have about the world I live in. The presence of ‘golden wings’, is expressive of what in the ways of a wealthy child had come to desire- quality education. Whereas, the child in the center knows well about the importance of education and wishes to fly for his dreams, still there is something stopping him but he will not leave the grip before he falls . This shows his determination towards education and fulfilling his dreams.
- INDIA , I am painting my dream, hoping to get wings. Like me others should also get an opportunity to hone their skills and get wings to fly from the nest.
Isali Rathnaweera - 6- What kids in my Country need is
10
- SRI LANKA , I am Isali Rathnaweera in SriLanka. I am a Buddhist. I am a good girl. I THINK EVERY CHILD WILL BE LIKE ME WE CAN DEVELOP AND BRING A VALUE TO OUR LITTLE COUNTY. I am obedient to my parents. I love them so much.I usually worship my mother every day before going bed..I know that they are the gods that we seen.we must treat our grand parents kindly. Not only that for animals..We can give them water food also.We can give food cothes to poor people.Child should be kind and obedient and lovely.
- RUSSIA, I think that children in my country need more smiles and communication. Because some kids are taught to bully, be mean to each other, not to show positive emotions, smile, laugh or understand jokes. There are children in my school that lie to each other and fight a lot.
Often parents are busy with work, feel too tired to spend time with their children and prefer to spend time on their phones. Maybe if they communicated more as a family, children in my country would be happier.
- UGANDA , Kinds want to learn more about birds and how birds should be protected. Painting with my favorite color blue to paint the brighter blue sky around the equator, with more colours of birds. I use yellow in painting because of the beauty of the sun. Thats what we want.
- UGANDA , Plants give oxygen human breath, kinds want plants like tree to be planted, more plants where the birds nest. So the children want to see of the Gods creation.
Let green our environment with trees for these birds.
- UGANDA , There so much fish on the fresh water largest water body, lake Victoria in uganda. Want the children to eat alot fish. It's healthy. That's what we want..
- UGANDA, Children in Ugandas need to read books. And learn to recycle. Mum read me the book of Man and his environment of Margret Mukuru, and so I was able to paint bottles and recycle them. We need more books, more bottles to create art and protect the environment.
- PHILIPPINES , A book is like a friend to me.
It shows me pictures of different places.
And a book looks like it is telling stories to me.
It can tell you all about surprises in nature and the environment where we live.
A book teaches me new lessons everyday.
A book helps me to be smart, kind, and friendly.
A book, a friend, is what children in my country needs.
- UGANDA, Every child needs a space where they put their name. Opportunity to display and share their talent in art, music. A frame means names of champions that want children to be.
- PHILIPPINES , Disaster preparedness is all about getting ready for disasters like floods like in the Philippines like in my drawing.
The boat is the key to keep us safe.
The boat is the knowledge we need to survive disasters.
The boat saves the family which is the symbol for our families.
The baby in the boat is the symbol for the children and the future of our country.
We need to help each other to survive from disasters.
What kids in my country need is the knowledge about disaster preparedness.
- UGANDA , Girls need to be made beautiful like me Angel and all other children. That's why I painted this today to tell the world, girls like me are flowers. Want all to know and need to be seen in schools.
- UGANDA , I was drawing an animal, I could be a big cat or grass eater. So if a cheater painting let finish it together. Children need visit wild to see animals. Use Yellow and black .
- UGANDA , Doing this to see more big Artists. This way, children learn more, forexample my teacher's paintings are big boards which makes children want to learn.
Francis Emralino Jr. - 12- Veggie and Fruit Kid Champion
45
- PHILIPPINES , What is the most important thing that children in my country need?
It's a global answer: nutritious food like vegetables and fruits.
If they always eat them, they will be stronger and smarter.
The vines, plants, and fruits that cover the child in my drawing makes the child stronger and safe from illness.
The star is for being smarter and I want us children to be smarter to prepare for our future.
- UGANDA, Children need to be hopefull. I have painted my special toot bag. With my name and my hands . Let children have things they can do with art every day. Suubi is my name meaning hope so children will enjoy my art and be happy.
- UGANDA, When children learn art and travel places, shade art very well and use thick colours they can also be happy. Forexample I need materials like art book, paint.
Maria Angelica Tejada - 15"A Place of Where You And Me, Are Safe and Protected"
7
- Philippines, My name is Angelica, who grew up having not that too much but fortunately able to have enough. My artwork is all about children as same as mine, who are wanting just to be at peace and have calm surroundings where we can walk and do our things accordingly. My artwork is an open book that tells stories of children who wish to have a safe space to learn and play. I just wanted to say that we, children doesn't need anything expensive and glamorous however we just only need a space of protection.
Often times, parents, leaders of our communities and basically all grown think they know what children need and want. However, not all kids agree with this. What if you were given an opportunity meet with the president of your country and you were appointed as an advisor to the President on Children’s Affairs, use your art/poetry to tell us how and what you would advocate for for the children in your country.
Easier version for the young participants; Tell your country’s president what the children in your country need.
